On Day 3, we awoke to the sights and sounds of the Yucatan Peninsula and Progresso, MX. I had already done my research and knew I wanted to take the 8 hour shore excursion to Chichen Itza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After checking out the visitor's center and duty free shop, we boarded a bus and met our tour guides, Saul (pronounced Sa-ool) and Mario.
Mario was a wonderful guide and lead us through the history and current culture of the Mayan people and language.
We also found some time for shopping and got to take in the local scene. It is amazing to me how these people can live so sparsely in what I would consider huts. The Big Monkey has been telling me for years about the lack of resources they have in Mexico, but until you visit and see it, it is hard to imagine. (Woman selling handmade servilletas. She was literally 4 feet tall)

first of all, I am in no way obsessed with your husband. I have seen what he looks like ugh! Anyway, I could careless what his name is. I am only saying I think you treat him and your son awful by calling them names, you should treat them like you love them. There is a reason why everyone is given a name at birth. Thats mental abuse.
Ok, flowerbug, thanks for the insight. Unfortunately, due to some types of people in the world it becomes important to keep some level of anonymity about me and my family.
If you really feel this way, no problem in just losing the address of my blog.
Thanks, Sara
Wow! Some people are mean today. And, no I don't publish the names of my family either. And, my nickname for my baby girl is Princess Poopie Pants - aka P3. C'mon! It's a term of endearment, people!
o.k. fine, I was just trying to make a point and now you have made your point.I guess its just really annoys me when you call them that, other than that you have great blog and seem like a nice person.
Well, not to beat a dead horse, but if you were just trying to make a point, you didn't have to comment on her husband's looks. Just saying.
Thanks for sticking up for me Kelly! I could just delete all flowerbig's comments, but I guess they make for good conversation!
And, I thought this was a post about Mexico! Silly me.
Well, it just seemed kind of goofy to me, that's all. And, I'm glad Mexico was fun!
I see nothing wrong with have little pet love names for family members.... it shows endearment.
Hahahahaha and being born and raised in Baton Rouge La... some of those Love names stick for years....
Enjoy Life Sara.... With BM and LM.... BE HAPPY
o.k first of all the conversation was between sara and myself so the other opinions were not needed. Sara can speak for herself and did a great job. This puts an end to it all. Sara I didn't mean to be so harsh on some of the things that I said, I got bothered when you said that I was stalking your husband, that was so far from the truth. Blogs are for comments and all I did was state my opinion and I guess it got out of control, sorry.
Great pictures! I want a towl elephant LOL! Looks like you had a great time! As for the haters, Sara, The biggest of big blogs have haters so look at it as a good thing LOL! It always amazes me how people can send hate mail or comments because they don't like something about the blog and yet, they still come back to read!
Love the pictures of Mexico. For the record, I think most would agree that BM is quite handsome. :-)
Ok, flowerbug, we all forgive you and are moving on. Thanks for being a loyal reader!
