Today was the second annual Running of the Weiners at the Cincinnati Oktoberfest. As you may know, I am quite partial to the weiner (dog that is, take your mind out of the gutter, girls!). We have two dachshunds, Willy and Nelson. In honor of Weiner Race Day, Willy and Nelson donned their own race day attire and, instead of racing, took a nap in bed!

My aunt and Uncl Pats had a weinerd dog that was a unabashed drunk. when we have get togethers if someone set a beer bottle on the floor next to them Duke would steal it. and down as much of it as he could before Aunt Pat caught him and took the beer away.
do mssrs willy and nelson know that mr nelson spells his name willie?
lol...I'm laughing because my son wants one of those dogs and he wants to name him "carl."

Glad to hear your dogs got all dressed up in time to take a nap. Very typical of the breed. We've got a wiener dog/black lab mix (she looks like a black, heavyset dachshund) and she's serious about her naps.
Now I want a weiner dog just so I can buy the costumes!
