Hurricane Gustav- Staff of the Goths

Well, that didn't take long... Along comes another hurricane hopping down the bunny trail, oh I mean, swirling in the Gulf. So, I thought it would be interesting to look up the meaning of Gustav. Yep, just as I suspected, it means "staff of the goths". Huh? What the heck does that mean? Kind of phallic and vampirish all in one. Anne Rice will be proud.

Gas up the tanks... Come Sunday, we are most likely headed to Baton Rouge.

Boy, I hope not. Maybe it will flip a crazy bitch and go some other direction.

We're currently contemplating a move to Houston, and hubby said, "we have to be north of 610 so we don't spend all our time evacuating." I agree!

I hope it piddles out or goes some other way.

I got back home just in time for Fay's drenching rains and tornados, nothing at all compared to a full-fledged hurricane--good luck with Gustav.
