For some reason, I have always wanted a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible. I just think they are beautiful. For a while, two years ago, I actually started scouring ads and Ebay to get one, but what do you know, I ended up pregnant and, I really think I would get some evil stares if I had the Little Monkey's carseat installed in the passenger seat with the top down. Well, I can dream, and if the Big Monkey's "investments" pay off (and by "investments", I mean his weekly lottery ticket) maybe one day I will find my pefect Ghia soulmate.

Like those things. A friend in high school got killed in his, however, as he was trying to beat a car to an Interstate on-ramp. There's a valuable lesson to be learned there -- as cool as that little Ghia is, it's not much in the rapid acceleration department!
Take that lesson to heart, and have fun once you get your car.
Frankly, I've always wanted a roadster -- a Spitfire or a Fiat Spyder would be great. The wife, however, objects...

Leave it to you, Natural, to add the "depressing comment of the day".
Heh. Sorry. That's what I think of every time I see one of those things.
So, be responsible!
Love the Ghia.
I had a Fiat Spider convertible in HS and I LOVED it. The only problem was that it was a 2-seater, and you know high school girls, they want to pile a million other girls in the car to go to lunch...
I got in lots of trouble- and this was before the days of the seatbelt law.
I also drove a Bug for a while, but it had no A/C and was not a convertible. No fun.
One of my dream cars is a 1965 Ford Mustang. and I actually owned one in 1974.I bought it from a fellow serviceman (USAF) who was being transfered over seas.
Nice and classic car! Im sure my boyfriend would like a car like this too! But, in black.. :)
That car is never going to get old, Sara. I’m pretty sure Volkswagen convertibles will still be available in the automobile industry years from now, and you can still have and own your Ghia soulmate, someday. You’ll then have the sweetest ride as you’ll have your baby with you on your journey.
